Adding content in Gamma AI is flexible. You can type directly into a card, use AI to generate or revise copy, insert blocks through slash commands, or drag media from the insert menu.
The easiest ways to add content in Gamma
1. Type directly into a card
Click inside any card and start typing. Gamma will show formatting tools as you work, so you can build a layout and content at the same time.
2. Use Agent to generate or improve text
Gamma AI can help you create new content or revise existing copy. This is especially useful when your first draft is too long, too weak, or not structured well enough for a presentation.
3. Use slash commands
Inside a card, type / to open the insert menu. This is a quick way to add different content types such as code, visuals, embeds, and other structured elements.
4. Drag from the insert menu
If you prefer a more visual workflow, open the insert menu on the right and drag the content block or media type into place.
Best workflow for clean Gamma pages
- Start with text and hierarchy first.
- Add AI refinements only after the structure is clear.
- Insert media once the copy is stable.
- Review spacing and readability card by card.
When to use AI content tools
Use Gamma AI generation when you need a faster draft, better transitions between sections, or more concise copy. It is especially useful for first drafts, rewrites, summaries, and presentation-friendly structure.
Common issues
Why can’t I type inside a card?
Make sure the card is selected and the cursor is inside an editable area.
What if slash commands do not appear?
Confirm that you typed the slash inside editable text. If necessary, reload the page and try again.
Can I move inserted media later?
Yes. Gamma cards are designed to be reorganized and refined after insertion.
